The original language of Ancient Lebanon. Phoenicians spread the use of the alphabet to North Africa and Europe, where it was adopted by the Greeks. Later, the Etruscans adopted a modified version for their own use, which, in turn, was modified and adopted by the Romans and became the Latin alphabet.
