# Solve a^-n/a^(2+n) Please show your method?

I guess you want to simplify the expression.

1/(a^n * a^(2+n))

If you prefer,

1/a^(2+2n)

or, if you prefer

a^(-2n-2)

a^-n/a^(2+n) = 1/a^n * 1/a^(2 + n).................a^-n = 1/a^n

= 1/[a^n * a^(2 + n)]

= 1/[a^(2n + 2)

= a^-(2n + 2)

You can't solve it because it is not an equation. You can simplify the expression.

a⁻ⁿ/a²⁺ⁿ = 1/(a²⁺ⁿ·aⁿ)

= 1/a²⁺ⁿ⁺ⁿ

= 1/a²⁺²ⁿ
