Over looked twice by supervisor?

My manager has hired two full-time employees since I have been here . I am part time but I work full-time hours and I ve been here for over a year & a half. My attendance isn t the best but has gotten better. I also have a couple write ups as well. I want to confront him but I need to know the best way & is he wrong for doing so

sounds like you are less than a stellar employee the attendance history and infractions
you probably better be on your proper for the future and hope you shall get noticed in a good way then

you have a couple of write ups........................................ not talk to your supervisor about anything... stop messing up, he shall notice and reward you for it... as for others being hired, since you've been there, this is none of your business...

you answered your problem yourself:

my attendance isn t the proper

that right there shall keep you from progressing... it shows you don't care and that you're unreliable... work on it... don't call out unless you're dead, do not be late... do this for a solid year... it might take more time... work on improving - whatever the writeups are correct the issues...

Sadly, your attendance issues (albeit minimal) and write ups do matter. Companies will want to promote (or give full time hours) to employees with impeccable worth ethic and record.

you were passed over intentionally and it sounds like your boss had good reasons...

there's nothing to "confront" other than your own deficiencies... you might consider asking for a performance review to get some feedback on how you could further improve...
