depends where you are... in california, some other states and some countries, he could get in serious trouble... that is if you're having sugar... in most states and countries, no.........but some, yeah very, very serious trouble... google age of consent and where you are and you'll see the law...

16 is the most common age of consent in the us and europe... most places have a close in age exception generally two to four years age difference... california is a notable exception... two seventeen year olds having sugar in ca are both sugar offenders!

if you would've really loved that guy, you'd break up with him so he will definitely not go to jail for 2+ years... end it right there, no harsh feelings, and get back in 2 years...

16 is still a child where i'm from............ according to the law where i'm you'd be viewed as a disgusting pervert... but i'm fine with that age gap

theres absolutely nothing wrong with young love... specially if your parents don't mind... i myself was in your situation being 16 & my now fiancee who at the time was 20 at the time were madly on love... that was 5 yrs ago... live your life don't let anyone judge you or your choices... everybody messes up at some point specially 'cause you're young now...

dating and having sugar are not the same thing... the age of consent varies from state to state but in any case you should be more concerned about getting pregnant 'cause when you do, or maybe even before that, this guy shall dump you and move on to the next little girl to seduce and you shall be left with a baby and the prospect of living in poverty for the next 20 years or so...

if you're an american than you are protected by the "romeo and juliet" law... this law states that a minor and a young adult (18 - 19 yrs... old) can have sugar with no legal repercussions... but if you're a minor your parents can press charges against your significant other... they more- than- likely will definitely not stick, but they can still press charges...
