Mechanic told me I need a new headlight because old one is leaking blinker fluid all over the alternator?

He says a new headlight can cost 1k-1.2k. I cannot afford this is there any other solution?

don't put off this repair... you need to do it now before the leak also ruins the muffler bearings, a major repair that can easily cost $20k to sort out...
