Mechanic told me I need a new headlight because old one is leaking blinker fluid all over the alternator?

He says a new headlight can cost 1k-1.2k. I cannot afford this is there any other solution?

Hahaha.......I know a girl who actually got charged (and paid) for a mechanic to refill her blinker fluid. I think he only charged $25 for the fictitious repair. I guess she got a great deal.
