Who is the governing body of the jehovah witnesses?

The Watch Tower Society.

The institution of the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses is undeniably modeled after the 1st century body of apostolic overseers and older men that were headquartered in Jerusalem. And prior to the establishment of the Governing Body the presidents of the Watchtower Society were given apostle-like status.

Are the members of the Governing Body the faithfull slave?

That is completely unknown until the conclusion of a system of things and the harvest. Where the Watchtower says they are separating the Wheat from the Weeds, the bible says the opposite.

In that it will be the angels that pull the weeds from the wheat and throw them into the fire. Showing it is not possible to identify the faithful slave and unfaithful slave until such time of the second harvest. (The first being the Christian ministry)

“The harvest is a conclusion of a system of things, and the reapers are angels. Therefore, just as the weeds are collected and burned with fire, so it will be in the conclusion of the system of things.”

“Let both grow together until the harvest; and in the harvest season I will tell the reapers, First collect the weeds and bind them in bundles to burn them up, then go to gathering the wheat into my storehouse.”

Dear Questioner:

The Governing Body is a loving provision and an example of faith worthy of imitation. (Philippians 3:17; Hebrews 13:7) By their adhering to and following Christ as a model, they can echo Paul’s words: “Not that we are the masters over your faith, but we are fellow workers for your joy, for it is by your faith that you are standing.” (2 Corinthians 1:24) By observing trends, the Governing Body draws attention to the benefits of heeding Bible counsel, offers suggestions about applying Bible laws and principles;

6 The ‘faithful slave’ is represented by the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses, a small group of spirit-anointed men serving at the world headquarters of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Brooklyn, New York. The Governing Body appoints experienced servants of Jehovah to serve at branch offices that supervise the activities of over 98,000 congregations earth wide.

The apostles and other close coworkers served as a governing body. They took the lead in the preaching work. They resolved problems in the Jerusalem congregation. They sent qualified brothers to Samaria and Antioch to strengthen new believers there. They handled a dispute about circumcision, sending out their decision for all congregations to observe. Yet these men were not masters over others but were servants and fellow workers of the entire congregation.
